Founded in 1870 within a one-room log cabin perched on the scenic Fall Bluff overlooking Lake Chula Vista, this church has a rich history of relocation and expansion.
After a move to a second location south of Lake Chula Vista, the congregation eventually settled at its present address, 2644 Chapel Hill Road, in 1922. The early days saw the humble one-room building equipped with an old pot-bellied stove and Delco lights, fostering a warm and devout atmosphere with an active "Amen Corner." The church withstood the trials of the Great Depression and underwent a significant restoration in the late 1940s, adding brick veneer, new rooms on both the upper and lower levels and a dining room at the rear.

Today, it stands as a testament to its history, housing the original 1940s building alongside a Fellowship/Events building. The church's enduring mission remains the same, continuing to provide spiritual solace and community service, where the comforting embrace of God's Spirit touches the lives of its members, just as it did many years ago.
